PGY2: Correlation of Kidney Transplant Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Epitope Mismatching to de novo Donor Specific Antibody Production and Post-Transplant Outcomes

When searching for a PGY-2 program, I was drawn to UNC for its progressive practice model, outstanding preceptors, and well-rounded training. The preceptors are experts in their respective fields and truly invested in supporting and mentoring each resident to achieve their professional goals. Further, I feel fortunate to be able to collaborate with exceptional physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal care for our solid organ transplant patients. Given the diverse patient population, I am also able to gain invaluable experience and exposure to a wide variety of transplant types. Finally, the unique atmosphere within the residency program itself fosters a sense of support and camaraderie -- I feel grateful to have joined the UNC family.
