American Heart Association Class Fees
These fees apply to persons who are not employees of UNCH or affiliates. UNCH staff should consult LMS for class fees. Fees do not include the required AHA provider manual. Students must acquire the provider manual with a copyright date of 2011 or later. We have a limited number of provider manuals to loan to students who can pick one up from our facility.
Provider class fees are for the class only. Every student attending an AHA provider class must have a copyright 2010 or later provider textbook for the class. We require students to have the textbook no less than 24 hours prior to class. We have a limited number of books to loan to paid enrollees.

- BLS - Healthcare Provider Class: $50
- Heartsaver/AED Class: $50
- ACLS - New Provider Class: $225
- ACLS - Renewal Class: $160
- PALS - New Provider Class: $225
- PALS - Renewal Class: $160
- PEARS Class: $125
Provider class fees are for the class only. Every student must have the required AHA provider textbook for the class.
Instructor Training Courses
- Instructor Course (Any Discipline): $500*
- Individualized Instructor Development Program: $500*
Instructor training fees are for the training program only. Every student must have the required AHA provider text and instructor manual for the discipline.
Participants must also complete the AHA Instructor Essentials course specific to the discipline.
Training Center Fees
Training Center fees are for those instructors who wish to align with the UNC Training Center.
Candidates who complete our instructor trainer program may apply for membership with our Training Center. Please note that alignment is not guaranteed.
- Training Center Alignment Transfer Fee: $150
- Annual Training Center Fee: $50
*In order to complete AHA instructor candidate requirements, instructors must be aligned with a Training Center. If you are not currently aligned with a Training Center, you will receive a letter of completion at the conclusion of the Instructor Course. Present the certificate of completion to the Training Center and they will complete your instructor candidate requirements.
