Meet our mentors
Anna Weinberg, MS, CCC-SLP
Undergraduate school: UNC-CH
Graduate school: UNC-CH
Professional Interest: Adult neurogenic communication disorders
Why I serve as a mentor: Just as my mentors helped shape the SLP I would become, I value the opportunity to foster the learning and development of the next generation of clinicians. As a lifelong learner, I appreciate the synergism of the process, which is equally educational for me as it is for a CF.
Krystal Speights
Undergraduate school: The University of North Carolina at Greensboro
Graduate school: The University of North Carolina at Greensboro
Professional Interest: I specialize in working with adults with neurogenic communication disorders, including stroke, traumatic brain injury and concussion, long-haul COVID, aphasia, apraxia of speech, cognitive deficits, and cognitive fatigue.
Why I serve as a mentor: I’m passionate about creating a psychologically safe environment where mentees feel free to make mistakes, learn, and grow. My goal is to help shape the next generation of speech-language pathologists by emphasizing a coaching-based approach to therapy rather than a strictly textbook-driven one.
