Why UNC
UNC has been my home throughout undergraduate studies and pharmacy school, and it's a place where I've genuinely thrived. The people here are part of what make it so special - authentic, empathetic, collaborative, and consistently supportive through both the highs and the challenges of training. UNC's psychiatric pharmacy program stands out as the only one offering a rotation dedicated specifically to women's mental health, an area I'm passionate about advocating for. Having grown up in rural North Carolina, in a medical desert, I've found in UNC a program that proudly serves the very communities I have a personal connection to and hope to give back to. There's truly nothing better than becoming a Tar Heel pharmacist born and bred at such an exceptional academic institution. I have no doubt that UNC will continue to help me grow into the psychiatric pharmacist I want to be.
