Why UNC

My original pursuit of a residency at UNC was largely due to their progressive pharmacy model and for the ability to practice at the top of my license. However, after going to the virtual informational sessions and interviewing with various preceptors and mentors, my interest in UNC grew far beyond their practice model. Every single preceptor, mentor, and resident that I had a conversation with emphasized the family-like culture and the real life bonds that they had made with one another. Additionally, the pharmacy administration at UNC continued to emphasize the importance of the residents' well-being, which was something that was very important to me. After finishing my interview with UNC, I knew it was the best place for me to start my professional career. I knew that UNC would challenge and push me to become the best pharmacist I could be, but would also be there to support me during times of hardship and failure. I truly think there is no better place to complete a residency than UNC.
