Discharge opioid prescribing habits in opioid naive patients recently requiring mechanical ventilation and continuous opioid administration in a medical ICU
When I interviewed at UNC, I was extremely impressed by how supportive the pharmacy leadership team and preceptors are regarding residents, and how genuinely happy the residents seemed to be. The residency program at UNC provides residents with the ability to become excellent practitioners, but at the same time it allows us to grow as preceptors, researchers, and leaders. As a large academic medical center, the passion towards quality and progressive patient-care seemed to be embedded within the organizational culture, and the residency program clearly encourages and challenges residents daily to develop ways to improve patient care. Most importantly, I chose UNC because the quality of the preceptors and the rotation experience offered by the program are truly unmatched.
