Impact of Pharmacist Intergration on OPAT Outcomes in an Immunocompromised Host Infectious Disease Clinic
Why UNC
"When choosing a residency program, UNC stood out for its unique blend of diverse ambulatory care clinics and a broad range of inpatient rotations. This combination offers the chance to expand my clinical knowledge while caring for varied patient populations. As an academic medical center, UNC provides the opportunity to learn from pharmacists practicing at the top of their license, and every interaction I’ve had has reinforced how invested preceptors are in resident growth. UNC’s strong connection with the Eshelman SOP also excites me, as it will allow me to refine my skills as a future preceptor and engage with the next generation of pharmacy leaders. Beyond the clinical and teaching opportunities, the camaraderie within the resident class and the unwavering support from pharmacy leadership have made the transition from the west coast to the east coast feel seamless. I know UNC offers the perfect environment to challenge myself, grow as a future pharmacist, and give back to the pharmacy community."
