Why UNC

I chose UNC because I wanted a residency program that truly embodies the spirit of training well-rounded, compassionate, and collaborative clinicians. From its wide variety of inpatient and outpatient rotation experiences to its strong partnership with the School of Pharmacy and commitment to community outreach, UNC offers endless opportunities to sharpen clinical skills while growing as a culturally competent clinician and educator. As a student and PGY1 here, I experienced firsthand the incredible sense of community and support that UNC fosters for its residents. Preceptors and pharmacy leadership are genuinely invested in each resident’s well-being and success, creating an environment where you can thrive. Every day, I feel inspired to learn, grow, and challenge myself—and it is an absolute honor to train alongside such encouraging, dedicated co-residents and preceptors.
