Why UNC
Staying with UNC from pharmacy school through residency was one of the easiest decisions I've ever made. From the moment I walked through the doors for my first IPPE rotation, I knew UNC Health was a special environment in which to work, learn, and grow. When looking at residency programs, I valued diverse rotation opportunities, experienced preceptors, a family atmosphere, and team-based, patient-centered care. These values are truly at the heart of UNC Medical Center's residency programs. The outpatient clinic offerings through the Ambulatory Care Track are second to none and were another huge factor in my decision. Gaining challenging clinical experience in the outpatient setting was a huge priority for me, but I still valued developing inpatient skills simultaneously. This is the true benefit of our unique Ambulatory Care Track. If you are searching for a residency program with a class that feels like family, preceptors that challenge and support you, and patients that impact you, look no further.
