Why UNC
The University of North Carolina's long history of progressive pharmacy practice coupled with a cardiology program that is committed to developing not only strong clinicians but also pharmacy leaders and educators, lead me to choose to complete my second year of training at UNC Medical Center. As a cardiology pharmacy resident, I knew I would have the opportunity to practice alongside exceptional clinical pharmacists in a variety of specialized inpatient and ambulatory care settings. Additionally, the strong partnership with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy affords residents the opportunity to teach learners of all levels both didactically and in clinical practice. UNC also offers a leadership certificate and the opportunity to become involved in multiple committees within the health system. Through these vast learning experiences, I knew I would be able to individualize my training to align directly with my career goals. Overall, I truly believe UNC is dedicated to training excellent pharmacists.
