Why UNC
UNC is recognized for its longstanding commitment to developing high-caliber pharmacy residents through specialized teaching, practice, and research methods. I was particularly drawn to UNC’s legacy of fostering innovation and intrapreneurship among its vast network of pharmacy leaders. The Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) program uniquely provides an immersive learning environment that exposes residents to a large network of partnering institutions while offering a rigorous MS curriculum led by world-renowned leaders in health-system pharmacy. In my pursuit of residency programs, it was evident that UNC is truly invested in the success of each of its residents through its culture of support and wellbeing. With the longitudinal teaching and leadership opportunities, structured mentorship, committee involvement, and broad range of elective experiences, I am confident that this program will allow me to develop the clinical knowledge and experiences necessary to assume a variety of leadership roles throughout my pharmacy career.
