Why UNC
Through robust clinical and administrative experiences, managerial opportunities, and mentorship, UNC maintains a commitment to promote the personal and professional growth of each resident into strong and compassionate clinical practitioners and leaders within the pharmacy profession. During my search for residency programs, I was especially drawn to the UNC’s legacy of producing strong pharmacy leaders in various areas of practice leading to its large networking system. The HSPAL residents at UNC have the unique opportunity of collaborating and growing their network with residents from across the country through the master’s program from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. It was clear that the depth and breadth of experiences offered through this program would allow me to pursue any leadership position that suited my interest. With this said, my ultimate decision to pursue my residency at UNC was because of its emphasis on positive culture and the caring mentors and leaders I met within the program. Residency can be a challenging time, but I am confident that I can succeed and grow as a pharmacy leader with the help of my supportive team here at UNC!
