Implementation of a pharmacogenomics best practice advisory (BPA) of CYP2C19 and clopidogrel in the outpatient pharmacy setting within an integrated healthcare system

Why UNC

UNC Medical Center and Eshelman School of Pharmacy are trailblazers in the healthcare world. In researching residencies, I desired a program that would train me to become a pioneer while enhancing the lives of patients I serve. After interviewing, I knew I was meant to join the program at UNC.  Not only did I sense the excitement and passion of the pharmacy leadership team, but it was so evident that they genuinely care for the overall well-being of each resident. In addition, the innovation and values of the pharmacists and community-based practices sites align with both my personal and professional goals. As the first resident for the Carolina Care Pharmacy and Transitions of Care site, I am honored for the opportunity and delighted to build upon my community pharmacy experience within an integrated healthcare system. Through leadership training, mentorship, and diverse patient experiences, I am confident that UNC will equip me to become a well-rounded pharmacist and servant leader. And like the UNC leadership team, I look forward to continuing my journey as a trendsetter in healthcare by leading with love and compassion for all.
