Impact of Pharmacist Intergration on OPAT Outcomes in an Immunocompromised Host Infectious Disease Clinic

Why UNC

I chose UNC because of the supportive energy I received both from residents and preceptors in the program. I remember how everyone seemed enthusiastic and genuine in each interaction. Though the program is relatively large, there's a distinctive community feel within this group that I think makes it very special. From the cozy resident office space to our monthly book club, the residents here have found ways to create a true "pharmily." In addition to the community, I also appreciated that the programs were well-rounded. As an ambulatory care-focused student, I knew that I wanted to pursue this path in residency. However, I still wanted to gain experience on the inpatient side, and I think that UNC does an excellent job of providing ample rotations across the spectrum of care to make residents adaptable and knowledgable clinicians.
