Why UNC
I was drawn to UNC for many reasons. The UNC Pharmacy Department’s commitment to excellence, its passion for innovation in pharmacy practice, and the collegial atmosphere amongst its members are some of the qualities that have impressed me the most. The Ambulatory Care PGY1 program at UNC offers exceptional training in ambulatory care practice, providing experiences in both primary care and specialty clinics, but also providing for the development of a strong foundation in general pharmacy practice through various rotational and staffing opportunities in acute care and in pharmacy administration. Additionally, this program provides many opportunities for immersion in teaching, leadership, mentoring, and research activities, helping round out an exceptional training program.
