Why UNC

From the very beginning, it was abundantly clear the pharmacy residency program at UNC Medical Center was one-of-a-kind. Despite conducting recruitment events virtually, the overwhelming sense of community and family was undeniable. While I was initially drawn to UNC for its rich pharmacy history and progressive practice model, it was the people and core values of the program that ultimately motivated me to complete my residency training here. I knew the diverse rotations and long-standing interprofessional relationships offered, along with the strong emphasis on teaching and research would prepare me to become a well-rounded, highly skilled clinical practitioner. The dedication UNC places on professional, academic, and personal growth amongst residents is truly unmatched. The support and resources offered to help me achieve my short- and long-term goals have far exceeded my expectations. I am elated to begin my journey here at UNC and become a part of the Pharmacy Tar Heel family!
