Why UNC

I chose UNC for its unwavering commitment to advancing pharmacy practice and cultivating skilled, compassionate clinical pharmacists. UNC’s high-acuity patient population, the diverse range of ICUs, and its designation as a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Burn and Stroke Center create an unparalleled learning environment for developing expertise in managing critically ill patients. This setting challenges me daily, while surrounding me with interdisciplinary teams that value and seek out pharmacist expertise. Beyond patient care, I am grateful to be integrated into UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy's curriculum through mentoring and lecturing. Since my PGY1 interview day, UNC’s dedication to resident success and wellbeing has been unmistakable—and that sense of purpose and support has only grown stronger. It is a privilege to train alongside UNC’s extraordinary preceptors, administrators, and my co-residents every day!
