Why UNC

It was during my first interaction with program leaders and current residents that I knew UNC was a special place and where I wanted to call home for my residency training. I immediately felt the tight-knit and collegial culture embedded within the residency program, even in the virtual environment. The close bonds between co-residents were readily apparent and I knew this was the training environment I was looking for. I was drawn to the innovative, collaborative training environment at UNC, one where pharmacy is both valued and heavily relied upon by members of interdisciplinary teams. UNC’s rich history for producing strong clinical pharmacists and leaders in our profession is unparalleled. The program is fully invested in helping residents grow both personally and professionally to develop into well-rounded practitioners. The opportunity to learn from and be mentored by a repertoire of excellent clinical specialists along with the program’s commitment to research, leadership, teaching, and precepting is outstanding. I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Pharmacy Tar Heel family!
