Influence of Patient-Specific Weight and Clinical Characteristics on the Efficacy of Initial Adenosine Administration for Supraventricular Tachycardia in the Emergency Department

Why UNC

I chose to continue my training at UNC because my PGY1 year confirmed that this is a place where pharmacists are deeply integrated into patient care, valued for their expertise, and encouraged to practice at the top of their license. The fast-paced environment of the emergency department, paired with UNC’s role as a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, offers endless opportunities to care for high-acuity patients across a wide range of disease states. Pharmacists are trusted members of the team, actively contributing to critical decision-making for complex and emergent cases in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The strong mentorship, collaborative spirit, and dedication to resident success I experienced during my PGY1 year made it clear that this was the ideal place to continue growing as a pharmacy resident.
