Why UNC

One of the main goals I have coming into residency is to develop myself into a well-rounded clinician who possesses the skills, experience, and confidence needed to care for diverse patient populations as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. It did not take long for me to realize during the application process that UNC was the perfect place for me. UNC affords me numerous opportunities to feed my passion for academia by serving as a preceptor for pharmacy APPE students and as teaching assistant at the Eshelman school of pharmacy during Fall and Spring semesters. Just as important in my decision to complete residency training here at UNC was the people I would be working with. I was truly blown away by the interactions I had with each and every resident, preceptor, and staff member during the interview process. Through each of my interactions I gained tremendous insight into the firm commitment UNC has to fostering a challenging yet supportive environment for all healthcare personnel who walk through their doors. There is no greater feeling than knowing that you are surrounded by people who genuinely care about you and want to see you reach your highest potential.  I am beyond grateful and excited to join this amazing team and immerse myself as part of the UNC family!
