Why UNC
I chose to pursue my PGY1 residency at UNC because of the program’s commitment to supporting residents in achieving both their professional and personal goals. From my very first interactions, it was clear that UNC genuinely wants each resident to become the best version of themselves in all aspects of life, fostering growth not only as a clinician but as a person. The program encourages residents to practice at the top of their license and embrace all facets of pharmacy, offering immense opportunities for clinical development, mentorship, and professional exploration. I was especially drawn to the chance to step into meaningful teaching and leadership roles while being surrounded by a community that is collaborative, encouraging, and inspiring. Ultimately, the people and the sense of belonging I felt at UNC solidified my decision—this was the place where I knew I could grow and thrive
