Why UNC

I initially pursued residency training at UNC due to the progressive pharmacy practice, the wealth of diverse clinical rotations, and the robust teaching experiences afforded to residents. I quickly learned that in addition the incredible training opportunities, the culture at UNC was exactly what I was looking for in a program. Program leadership and preceptors are not only pharmacy practice role models, but they are also kind, supportive people, and they want to see you excel, not only as a clinician, but also as a human being. They recognize you are not a robot and encourage individuality and prioritizing your wellbeing, while also helping to mold you into a strong practitioner. Even on the toughest days of my PGY-1 year I felt supported on multiple fronts. I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue my training at such a supportive, diverse, and clinically progressive institution. It's always a great day to be a Tar Heel!
