Why UNC

"I knew that my search for a residency program would be a unique and meaningful journey, as I was looking for a program that aligned closely with my specific area of interest. From meeting current residents and the RPD at Midyear, and later during my interview, it became clear that UNC was an ideal fit. What stood out to me most was UNC’s commitment to developing strong clinical practitioners and well-rounded leaders, all while prioritizing resident well-being. As a two-year program, I was especially drawn to the intentional and thoughtful coordination of the residency experience. It’s evident, through every interaction I've had, that the program is deeply invested in its residents, their experiences, and how those experiences will shape their future careers.Knowing that my future roles may involve less direct patient care, I greatly value the structure of a full clinical year built into the program. This foundation will allow me to develop the robust clinical skills necessary to support and elevate my work in the future."
