Initially I was drawn to UNC's residency program because of the breadth of psychiatric rotations; including one of the few peripartum psychiatric units in the United States, as well as the extensive teaching opportunities available to its residents.

After visiting and meeting with the preceptors I knew this was where I wanted to complete my second year of residency. The preceptors and mentors at UNC are passionate and truly care about the development of their residents. Also, having the opportunity to share this experience with a psychiatry co-resident and a large residency class made this an opportunity that I couldn't afford to miss!
