Why UNC
During my final year of pharmacy school, I had the opportunity to complete my rotations at the UNC Medical Center, and throughout that year, I developed a deep appreciation for what an exceptional institution it is. The hospital’s collaborative environment has given me many chances to learn across various medical specialties, fostering a strong sense of teamwork both within the pharmacy department and beyond. I was excited by the opportunity of working in diverse practice settings throughout the health system, whether it be in acute care, ambulatory care, or administration, each offering their own share of unique learning experiences. I also value the collaboration this institution has with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy where I can enhance my teaching, mentorship, and leadership skills. But above all, I chose UNC because of the people. From my time as a student to my interview day, I always felt so at home. The entire pharmacy team challenges me to grow and succeed, and places a strong emphasis on my well-being and offers unwavering support during both the good and the bad days. I know that UNC will be instrumental in my growth both clinically and personally, and I am excited to take on the year ahead with my incredible co-residents by my side!
