Why UNC

UNC's Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) residency program aligned well with my goals through its structure and longitudinal leadership opportunities. I value UNC's emphasis on the first year's clinical experience as it will give me valuable context as I head into my second year to hopefully translate what I experienced into definitive improvements for patients and pharmacists alike. The longitudinal management area experience in the second year is a unique opportunity to learn how to manage teammates, have difficult conversations, and be an approchable leader (all skills I believe are better practiced than talked about). The MS program is another reason I valued UNC. I am excited to network with and learn alongside many other HSPAL residents in the next 2 years! I am excited to learn from esteemed leaders to strengthen my clinical acumen and health system competence and grow with my co-residents!
