Why UNC
When beginning my search, a residency felt a lot more about the people involved more so than the resources available. Understanding the motivations and history of those involved with the program was a priority for me during the interview process. I was then impressed by the great attention to detail in not only ensuring my questions had been answered, but the interest in getting to know me beyond the formalities of an interview. I chose UNC because whether you are a patient or an employee, people do truly come first. It was evident that the foundations of the decades of success and innovation are built upon a culture that puts well-being first. Knowing that, I felt confident in learning from and contributing to such a high-performing program given the respect and trust offered on day one.
