Why UNC
UNC Medical Center’s commitment to a strong clinical first year with the ability to be integrated into the leadership team was an important factor in my decision. The program provides the tools to develop into a clinician as well as a forward thinking pharmacy leader. The department has a family-like atmosphere ensuring support and mentorship throughout the journey. Furthermore, residency leadership strives to individualize the experience based on the resident’s interests. Additionally, the strong partnership between the department of pharmacy and the school of pharmacy is unique aspect to the program. The seamless integration of school faulty practicing and preceptors lecturing fosters innovation and scholarly activities.
