Why UNC
When choosing a residency program, I was intentional in seeking an institution that would challenge me both clinically and professionally, somewhere that would push me to reach my full potential while supporting me in every step of my journey. During my interview at UNC, I felt an immediate sense of connection and belonging. It was clear that this program embodied everything I was searching for and more. What drew me most to UNC was its profound commitment to developing pharmacists who are not only clinically excellent but well-rounded in leadership, education, and personal growth. The numerous rotation experiences offered provides the flexibility to explore my interests and tailor a path that aligns with my long-term goals. I was especially excited about the diverse experiences to grow as a leader and educator through involvement of the Eshelman SOP, system-level P&T committee, and the teaching and leadership certificate program. While the clinical rigor at NC is undoubtedly impressive, It was the people who truly solidified my decision. The collaborative, supportive, and uplifting culture at UNC is unlike any I've experienced before. It's a feeling that is difficult to articulate, but on that resonated deeply with me. I knew that in this environment, I could thrive and grow professionally and personally.
