Why UNC

What makes UNC such a special place to complete pharmacy residency is how invested this program is in you as a resident, a pharmacist, and as a person.

The environment and culture at UNC are truly something special. Like many of my co-residents, I moved across the country to complete residency at UNC. Having both a large class of residents and an incredibly welcoming pharmacy department helped ease this transition.

I was initially drawn to UNC due to their 24-month program in Medication-Use Safety and Policy and the chance to practice pharmacy at an institution that is known to be incredibly pharmacy forward. While UNC is a great place to grow as a pharmacist, what made me realize that UNC is such a special place goes beyond the practice of pharmacy. The connections I have made with the residency leadership, preceptors, and my coresidents in truly something irreplaceable. Not only do I get to learn from and alongside these phenomenal clinicians, but I have also had the opportunity to make lifelong connections with remarkable people.
