Why UNC
When considering residency programs, I was looking for a program that would provide a challenging yet supportive environment. Throughout the application process, the genuine investment of preceptors and residency leadership in the personal and professional growth of residents truly set UNC apart. I knew that completing a residency at UNC would push me to reach my full potential and that I would leave the year a better person and pharmacist. The culture of the program, combined with the diverse rotation experiences and exposure to complex patient populations, was exactly what I was looking for in a PGY1 residency program. Additionally, UNC’s strong partnership with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy stood out to me, as it offers opportunities to build a strong foundation as a preceptor and mentor. I am excited to learn from the incredible pharmacists at UNC, grow alongside my co-residents, and contribute to the collaborative and supportive culture that defines the program.
