Use of concept mapping activity to enhance pharmacy student metacognition and comprehension of fundamental disease state knowledge
I chose to complete residency training at the UNC Medical Center because of the vast opportunities to develop into an exceptional clinical pharmacist, researcher, teacher/preceptor, and patient advocate. UNC has a long history of being one of the pioneers in pharmacy practice and education. The pharmacists are not only respected integrated-members of the medical teams, but are expected to practice at a high level committed to patient care. In addition to the innovative pharmacy practice, the family-like environment is what attracted me the most. From the moment I first stepped onto the hospital's campus, I immediately knew this was my ideal choice of a residency program. I was not only excited for the opportunity to train at a hospital with advanced pharmacy practice, but to also be a part of a large and supportive family. UNC already feels like home, and I am excited to be a Pharmacy TarHeel!
