Evaluation of the impact of comprehensive health-system based outpatient pharmacy services on 30-day hospital readmission rates
I chose to do a residency at UNC Medical Center because I found it to be an excellent fit for my professional goals while also supporting a healthy mixture of professional and personal growth. Professionally, I chose UNC because I felt that it would help me become the most knowledgeable clinician I could be while also developing my skills as a researcher, educator, and leader through a variety of opportunities. I also felt that UNC was the perfect place to grow personally as more than just a clinician, as they stress the importance of setting goals both inside and outside of the residency program and work with you to achieve them. Additionally, what stood out to me about UNC was the people. Everyone is kind, supportive and will push you to be your best. As a student at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy I had the opportunity to work with a number of past UNC residents as well as many preceptors, all of which have left a positive impact on me, and I was very interested in giving back to my school by precepting, teaching and being a mentor for future students.
