Why UNC
I chose UNC because they were able to provide an extremely robust training experience encompassing a wide variety of rotation settings, leadership expectations, precepting exposure, teaching experience, and the ability to conduct and publish research all within an interdisciplinary learning environment. I was excited to deliver the high standards of patient care that UNC is known for while learning under so many highly qualified pharmacy practitioners. Ultimately, there was a sense of community that I was immediately drawn to during the interview process. Everyone is passionate about the residency program and wants to see you succeed here - whether it be RPDs, RPCs, preceptors, mentors, or co-residents, a multitude of people are willing to provide support in order to make that happen. I am thrilled to be training one more year here and getting the ability to dive into a specialty I am truly passionate about!
