Discharge opioid prescribing habits in opioid naive patients recently requiring mechanical ventilation and continuous opioid administration in a medical ICU.
I am passionate about completing residency at UNC because this program will allow me to grow my skills as a clinician, leader, and educator. Specifically, UNC's ambulatory care track program provides residents the opportunity to develop into well-rounded clinicians through providing both ambulatory and acute care rotations in a wide variety of specialties.
Additionally, this program has unique attributes, including a resident-run leadership certificate, which will allow me to complete a leadership project which impacts UNC as well as learning from my co-residents about leadership. UNC also values teaching and layered learning. This provides me the opportunity to learn from PGY2 residents and pharmacy preceptors, but also allows me to precept student learners.
The final point that drew me to UNC was the culture. There is unmatched support in this program from program directors, mentors, coresidents, and many more. I am very excited to join UNC with a fantastic team.
