Why UNC

I was initially drawn to the pharmacy residency program at UNC Medical Center due to the wide variety of clinically challenging rotations, the well-established relationship amongst pharmacists and the interdisciplinary teams, and the growth mindset exhibited by program leaders. The aspect that solidified my decision to pursue a residency at UNC, though, was the overwhelming sense of community and support I felt during each interaction. I wanted to complete my training at a place that would foster a sense of community, and support me both professionally and personally. The residency program at UNC has surpassed my expectations in both. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt an undeniable sense of support, community, and family that allowed me to feel at home right away, and this is what motivated me to continue my training here for a PGY-2 in Oncology. UNC is dedicated to each resident in the program, and they provide every tool necessary to produce well-rounded, highly skilled oncology clinical practitioners. I feel extremely honored to have completed my PGY-1 residency at UNC, and I am ecstatic to continue this journey here.
