Why UNC
I chose to pursue a residency at UNC Medical Center because I was seeking a PGY1 program with an ambulatory care focus that would shape me into a well-rounded, highly skilled clinical pharmacist. I knew the breadth of outpatient and inpatient opportunities would challenge me and allow me to understand patients' experiences across the health system. I was also excited by the opportunities to perform research at an academic medical center and work with the Eshelman School of Pharmacy to explore my interest in academia. However, I was especially drawn to UNC because of the residency teams' enthusiasm and genuine commitment towards my personal and professional growth. From day one I have felt immense support from the residency directors, preceptors, and my fellow residents. The inviting, family-like atmosphere and unique learning experiences at this institution cannot be matched. I feel grateful to be part of the UNC family!
