Administration - Strategy & Quality
The longitudinal Pharmacy Strategy & Quality rotation has been designed in conjunction with the UNC Health Care Health System Pharmacy Administration Residency Program to provide a comprehensive overview of advanced quality and strategic improvement programs as they apply to Pharmacy Administration practices.
Based on the myriad of areas available, the rotation attempts to develop a strong foundation of knowledge around the core principles of strategic quality improvement, while tailoring advanced focus to the professional and personal goals of each individual learner. In addition to opportunities to further develop writing, speaking, teamwork, and leadership skills, the learner will leave the rotation with an appreciation of the best practices of continuous quality improvement and management for organizational excellence. The learner will have the opportunity to participate in departmentally relevant and professionally beneficial activities to facilitate their deep understanding of the process to implement and appreciate the value of strategy & quality programs within a Department of Pharmacy. The learner will also have the chance to participate in a Lean/quality improvement project for Purple Belt certification, and receive Blue Belt training specifically for managers as sponsors of improvement projects.
