Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Clinic

Rotation Description:

The Outpatient BMT and Cellular Therapy Clinic Rotation is an ambulatory oncology experience designed to develop fundamental skills in the care of bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy patients. Learners will provide clinical care in many areas, including, but not limited to, transplant transitions of care, long term health maintenance and survivorship care, and management of acute and chronic complications of stem cell transplant. Core clinical topics addressed include, but are not limited to BMT basics, infectious complications, acute and chronic GVHD, transplant decision making, transplant preparative/conditioning regimens, post-transplant maintenance strategies, and the role of transplant in hematologic malignancies.  Learners have the opportunity to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment that includes a team of physicians, transplant coordinators, nurses, and advanced practice professionals (NPs and PAs).
