Oncology Precision Medicine

Rotation Description:

The oncology precision medicine rotation will orient the learner to the practice of precision medicine. Learning concepts are founded in published pharmacogenomics competencies in pharmacy practice (Roederer, et al. J Am Pharm Assoc. 2017;57:120-5.). The learner will be introduced to clinical pharmacology as it relates to the fundamentals of precision medicine and its application to oncology pharmacy practice. Both germline as well as somatic mutations and their influence on medication therapy will be explored. Activities include programmatic based initiatives relevant to pharmacogenomics focused on systems integration and point of care infrastructure will be pursued.
