Rotation Title

Advanced Hospital; Administration; Formulary Management

Rotation Description:

The purpose of this rotation is to provide the learner with a solid foundation in pharmacy administration in the focus areas of formulary management and pharmacy analytics in the setting of both the medical center and health care system. This will be achieved through completion of rotation projects, readings, topic discussions, and participation in multiple meetings throughout the month.

Rotation activities may include the following:
-Attendance at the System and Medical Center P&T Committee meetings
-Developing and/or conducting formulary management projects
-Performing data analysis of drug utilization reports
-Developing and/or implementing initiatives for the assessment of medication use processes, quality management, and cost-containment
-Attendance at relevant interdisciplinary committee meetings, as deemed appropriate
-Participation in topic discussions pertaining to formulary management and data anaLytics, among others.
