Managed Pharmacy Solutions comprises UNC Health Care System's population health management and pharmacy benefits management (PBM) teams. This rotation exposes learner to clinical project development and administrative duties in both population health and PBM services. The learner will work closely with a variety of patient populations including the Pharmacy Assistance Program (PAP; uninsured charity care patients), the UNC Health Care System's Network Health Plan (self-insured employees and dependents), and the Next Generation ACO (Medicare patients) to provide high quality, evidence-based clinical pharmacy services. This rotation has an emphasis on establishing new clinical pharmacy programs to impact population health.
