Rotation Description
The Pharmacy Analytics team is a customer service group within UNC Health System Pharmacy Services with a focus on positively impacting patient health outcomes and healthcare through providing data insight and analysis. This rotation is a 1-month experience designed to allow the resident to gain experience designing and interpreting data analytics reports. The resident will utilize data analytics tools to design, execute, and evaluate data reports. Upon conclusion of this learning experience, the resident will be able to explain the role of data analytics within clinical, operational, research, and financial areas. All residents will complete a targeted learning experience to improve/develop skills with Microsoft Excel and Epic SlicerDicer. Based on resident interest (and as time allows), the opportunity to learn a more advanced tool (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, and/or PowerBI) will be available.
