Rotation Description
UNC Health’s Home Infusion Pharmacy provides comprehensive infusion services to patients across North Carolina, supporting therapies such as antimicrobials, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), inotropes, immunoglobulin, pain management, and chemotherapy. Our operations are grounded in USP standards, DEA regulations, sterile compounding best practices, payer requirements, and accreditation standards from The Joint Commission and the NC Board of Pharmacy.
As part of UNC Health’s Enterprise Infusion Service Line within the Forward Together 2030 strategy, the department combines clinical excellence with operational innovation. Learners will gain exposure to daily activities including drug preparation, clinical interventions, revenue cycle management, logistics coordination, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.
