GME specialists are responsible for maintaining residents' and subspecialty residents' training records and handling matters relating to their appointments including payroll and benefits, licensure, loan deferments, notary services, and foreign medical graduates.
Marissa Barbadoro, GME Specialist
Ms. Barbadoro is the primary contact for the following programs: Internal Medicine and subspecialties. She also handles Verifications and Public Service Loan Forgiveness Requests. Ms. Barbadoro also provides notary services.
Siobhan Gallagher, GME Specialist
Ms. Gallagher is the primary contact for the following programs: Anesthesiology and subspecialties, Dermatology and subspecialties, McLendon Labs, Pathology and subspecialties, Ophthalmology, and Radiology and subspecialties.
AJ Laperche, GME Specialist
Mr. Laperche is the primary contact for the following programs: Allergy & Immunology, Family Medicine and subspecialties, Medical Genetics, Medicine/Pediatrics, and Pediatrics and subspecialties, and Preventative Medicine.

Ms. Marks is the primary contact for the following programs: Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology and subspecialties, Oral & Maxillofacial, Orthopaedics and subspecialties, and Surgery and subspecialties.
Thomas Petruska, GME Specialist
Mr. Petruska is the primary contact for the following programs: Emergency Medicine and subspecialties, General Practice Residency, Neurology and subspecialties, OB/GYN and subspecialties, Pediatric Dentistry, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Radiation Oncology.

Ms. Pounders is currently the primary contact for the following programs: Psychiatry and subspecialties.
Business & Operations Manager
Ms. Mays monitors and reconciles financial accounts related to insurance premiums, operating budgets, billing and all other financial aspects of graduate medical education.
Business & Accreditation Manager
Ms. Hill provides support and assistance to the Executive Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education, the Director of the Office of Graduate Medical Education, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and the Housestaff Council. She is the primary contact person for questions regarding accreditation, affiliation agreements, ERAS, and the NRMP.
Ms. Santos maintains documentation regarding duty hours and reimbursement. She is the primary contact person for questions regarding MedHub evaluations and scheduling. She supports the Moonlighting, Duty Hours, and Institutional Requirements Subcommittees of the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
Information System Specialist
Ms. Pounders manages the official GME communication and information systems, drives quality improvement initiatives called for by changing ACGME requirements for institutional accreditation, provides education and training support to users at all levels throughout the UNCH GME program, and supports the Accreditation and Credentialing Processes.
