Ms. Gonzalez is the Institutional Coordinator with the ACGME and serves as the Training Program Liaison with the ECFMG/Intealth for foreign medical graduates wishing to train at UNC Health. She also acts as the Institutional Administrator with NRMP related to the MATCH process. Ms. Gonzalez also coordinates the PLA/TLA (Program Letter of Agreement/Training Letter of Agreement) process for Visiting Residents and UNC Trainees wishing to participate in away rotations at other medical centers.

Ms. Santos is the primary contact person for questions regarding moonlighting, freedom pay and work hours. She supports the Moonlighting Subcommittee of the Graduate Medical Education Committee. Ms. Santos is the primary contact for the following training programs: Medical Physics, Pastoral Care, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy/Allied Health and Rehab Therapy Services. She also serves as back-up to Christy Ray on verification requests.

Ms. Ray provides support and assistance to Dr. Yara Park and Kelly Cash. Ms. Ray is also the primary contact person for employment verification requests and loan forgiveness/deferment forms.
GME Specialists:
GME Specialists are responsible for maintaining GME residents’ and fellows’ training records and handling matters relating to their appointments including credentialing, facilitating resident training licensure, processing personnel action requests and other human resources functions, and providing support if necessary for benefits administration. Additionally, GME Specialists are responsible for the oversight, monitoring, education and training of the Residency Training Coordinators to ensure that institutional policies, ACGME requirements and federal and state laws are followed, and compliance is maintained.
