Bereavement Services

Whenever we experience loss, we experience grief. As part of our bereavement services program, the Department of Pastoral Care offers ongoing support and care to families and individuals who are experiencing a loss. If you are on a grief journey, you can find several resources here, on this website. You’re also invited to contact our office and ask about connecting with a chaplain or bereavement counselor, or attending a grief group. You’ll find:

  • Emotional support in a safe environment
  • Support and understanding from others who have experienced a loss
  • An opportunity for healing in sharing your story, and perhaps in hearing the stories of others
  • A chance to develop coping skills that will help you on difficult days
  • An opportunity to discover new ideas to keep loved ones present in your heart and memories
  • Help talking with children or others about loss
  • Permission to grieve and permission to grow

Bereavement Resources & Events
