Dining and Meal Service

Patients may order meals directly to their rooms using our Restaurant Delivery service. We offer our full menu between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

If you are on a special diet (for medical reasons), you will be provided with food choices that meet the specific dietary guidelines set by your doctor. Our staff of Clinical Dietitians is also available to provide nutritional education and information.

Guest Trays are available for visitors who wish to dine with a patient in their room. Trays are $8.60 and can be purchased by contacting 984-974-1278.

Starbucks is located off the lobby of the N.C. Cancer Hospital.

Open 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week. Starbucks serves an assortment of coffees, teas, pastries, sandwiches and more.

Located on the 2nd floor hallway connecting the N.C. Neurosciences Hospital with the N.C. Cancer Hospital, the Overlook Café offers several dining options in a café setting.

Featured stations include:

• Grab-N-Go - wide selection of house-made grab and go salads, sandwiches, snacks, sushi, and desserts. 
• Brandwein's Bagel Bar, LaFarm pastries, Joe Van Gogh coffee, and Tractor organic fruit smoothies. 
• Fire Baked Pizza - scratch made dough tossed into six different varieties or create your own. 
• Kardia Mediterranean Bar - cold and hot Mediterranean bar with house-made salads, kabobs, fresh salmon, and vegetarian delights.
• Soups and Sandwiches - scratch made soup and hand-crafted Mediterranean sandwiches, made to order.    

The Overlook Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM for self-checkout continental breakfast, and 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM for lunch.

Self-checkout kiosks stop taking orders at 2:15 PM. 

Located on the first floor of the N.C. Children’s Hospital the Terrace Café offers multiple dining options in a café setting.

Featured stations include:

• Grab-N-Go - wide selection of house-made grab and go salads, sandwiches, snacks, sushi, and desserts. 
• Brandwein's Bagel Bar, LaFarm pastries, and Joe Van Gogh coffee
• Awakenings - breakfast classics (6:30 AM to 10:30 AM) and The Bistro - (11:00 AM to 9:00 PM) serving a wide variety of scratch-made soups, entrees, sides, and desserts that change daily. 
• UNC Smash - classic breakfast sandwiches (6:30 AM to 10:00 AM), smash burgers, chicken, and fries made to order. Visit our toppings bar to customize your smash burger just the way you like it. 
• Specialty Station - rotating cuisines and concepts to include UNC Smash: Burgers and tenders, Uncle Vinny’s: Comfort Italian, Red Dragon: Asian cuisine, Mesa Fresca: Street tacos, Off the Hook: Coastal seafood, UNC’Q: Carolina barbecue, Cardamom: Indian bowls, Planted: Plant-based salads and wraps, Wing It: Wings and tenders, Pacha: South American cuisine, Hearth & Soul: Soul food, Hot Potato: Loaded potatoes,  Calypso: Caribbean cuisine, Carved: Classic Roasts and sides, Fair Game: State fair snacks.

The Terrace Cafe is open daily from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM for breakfast and 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM for lunch and dinner

The Corner Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM for self-checkout continental breakfast, and 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM for lunch.

Self-checkout kiosks stop taking orders at 1:45 PM.  

• Corner Cafe After Hours daily from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. Late night "After Hours Menu" is available from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

• Grilled burgers, hot dogs, chicken, fries and more. 

The Courtyard Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Grill items available from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
