Carolina Care at Home Convenience Center
The Carolina Care at Home Convenience Center sells over-the-counter medications and medical supplies for patients, visitors and hospital employees, including:
- Over-the-counter medications for colds, allergies and indigestion
- Medical supplies, including compression socks, bedside commodes and walkers
- Breast/chestfeeding supplies
- A small selection of drinks and packaged snacks

Hospital Safe
You may wish to store your valuables, such as money or jewelry, in the hospital safe to ensure their safety during your visit.
Valuables may be deposited at the Cashier’s Office, located in the Main Hospital lobby, between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Deposits may be made through the Admitting Office between 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Your valuables will be securely stored overnight and transported to the Cashier’s Office in the morning.
If you are unable to make the deposit yourself, notify your nurse.
Information Desks
Information desks are located throughout the hospital to answer your questions or provide visitor passes.
Information desks are located in the ground floor lobbies of the N.C. Cancer Hospital, N.C. Children’s Hospital, N.C. Memorial Hospital, and N.C. Women’s Hospital.
The information desks at the N.C. Memorial Hospital and the N.C. Cancer Hospital are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Interpreters
Interpreters are available for patients with limited English proficiency and for those who are hearing-impaired.
If you would need an interpreter, please notify staff.
Lost and Found
If you accidentally misplace any personal items during your stay, please check the nurses station closest to your room first.
If items have not been returned to the nurses station, you may check Lost and Found located in Memorial Hospital or call 984-974-1241.

If you would like to receive mail during your stay, you may do so at the following address:

Mail will be delivered to your room daily for the duration of your stay.
Once you are discharged, all mail received will be forwarded to your home address.
For those wishing to send mail, a mailbox is located outside of the N.C. Memorial Hospital (across from the Dental School). Stamps can be purchased from the Cranberry Corner gift shop in the lobby of the N.C. Memorial Hospital.
