UNC Hospitals Employee Pharmacy

The UNC Hospitals Employee Pharmacy offers convenient pharmacy services for UNC Health, UNC Faculty Physicians and UNC School of Medicine employees and their immediate family members. You’ll find us in the lobby of N.C. Memorial Hospital at the back of the Carolina Care at Home Convenience Center.  We accept prescriptions from any provider and work with most insurance companies, including the State Health Plan and Network Health Plan.

Order Prescriptions

There are several ways to fill your prescriptions at our pharmacy.   

  • Start a New Prescription: Ask your healthcare professional to electronically submit your new prescription to our pharmacy.
  • Refill a Prescription: If you already use our pharmacy, you can request a refill in My UNC Chart or by calling 984-974-5415, option 1.
  • Transfer a Prescription by Phone: Call us at 984-974-5415, option 9.
  • Transfer a Prescription Electronically: Sign in to My UNC Chart and click Medications if:
    • You are transferring your prescription from another UNC Health pharmacy.
    • The prescription you want to transfer has refills remaining.

 If you have no refills remaining, call 984-974-5415, option 9.
