Respiratory Support 

  • Non-invasive ventilation and cough-assist devices 
  • CPAP and BiPAP devices for sleep apnea 
  • Oxygen therapy, including portable concentrators (which provide extra oxygen to patients with respiratory conditions)

Can I get infusion therapy at home?

Some treatments can’t wait. With our home infusion services, you don’t have to. Our pharmacy team and infusion nurses bring advanced therapy into your living room — so you can recover in comfort without unnecessary hospital stays. 

What We Provide 

  • IV antibiotics 
  • Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) 
  • Pain management and chemotherapy treatments (with CADD pumps) 
  • IVIG and HIV-related therapies 
  • Catheter care and line maintenance 

How It Works

  • Pharmacists work with your doctor to monitor and adjust your treatment plan. 
  • Infusion nurses come to your home and provide support until you’re confident with self-administration. 
  • 24/7 support means we’re always here if you need us.

Who can use your services?

We offer services to any UNC Health patient within our county coverage area who need respiratory and nutrition services. We also offer equipment to improve mobility and comfort, as well as other long-term care equipment. You will need to make sure your insurance carrier is in-network with UNC Health. 

How do I place a referral? 

Use our Epic Amb – Home Order set, or give us a call. We’ll guide you step by step.

Do you support caregivers? 

Absolutely. We’ll help you choose the right equipment and show you how to use it safely. 

Can I keep my equipment if I move?

Yes. If you’re renting equipment, we’ll continue to support you as long as you reside in our service area. Please make sure you call UNC Homecare Specialists to update your address with us. 

What if my insurance company changes?
